So, rather than getting one that would require immediate upgrades/repairs, I opted for the mint re-issue. When I was searching around online and playing a few other used B15's locally, I wasn't having much luck finding one in great condition. Soooo much sweeter than the BA115 (which is a fine little inexpensive amp btw). I think the re-issues sound fantastic and are very versatile as kafka described. I found a mint B15R on ebay and couldn't be happier. It weighs a ton, though.I was also using the BA115 and was looking for a B15 upgrade. However, it has a balanced line-out that can go directly to the live board. Not nearly loud enough for live gigging, unless you're playing jazz. It does everything from old 60's thump up to some more modern sounds.
